Don't know why they didn't do that 22 years ago and I darn sure don't know why they didn't do it now. The "crashworthiness regulations" excuse only goes so far.I remember seeing the first-generation Acela at the last Hoboken Festival and it looked absurd with the high-platform-only doors, needing those temporary wooden steps they usually used for the PATH car displays. |
