OK, thanks. I'd thought this was either a temporary addition to the CBA with a defined expiration date, or an MTA throw-in to encourage workers to come in, also with an expiration date. Now that the expiration date has arrived, the provision can be changed - by negotiation if part of the CBA, but unilaterally if this was an additional benefit that the MTA had provided on its own - without it ever having been in the CBA.In any case - I think it pretty likely this will end up in court. subfan |
