It is a direct cause and effect1. It's impossible to draw a clear line. 2. It's open to abuse by the entity paying the benefit. You'd end up getting fly-by-night life insurers who have so many fine print exceptions that almost no one benefits. 3. It penalizes the survivors, not the reckless individual. At least health insurance surcharges penalize the individual. |
