Are you telling me door operating positions are changed at the terminals too?In a word, Yes! Happens regularly on M OPTO trains (that do not relay). Upon arrival, T/O dumps, opens doors, partial closes, goes to TERM, activates shuttle switch, goes to run, dezones and secures the position. At the other end, the shuttle switch operation is cancelled with the buzzer, after zoning up. Basically the s/switch function keeps the doors open when the MDC goes to run. Charge up, await the lights, open and close the doors. {Steps in red apply only to NTT equipment}. (S/Chat PD disclaimer: I never worked TSQ/GC shuttle, but believe the operation is similar. Going on observation here. T/O arrives dumps, arriving T/O in rear opens, activates switch, goes to run, charges up and waits. The former operator zones up, hits buzzer and closes when appropriate, AND OBSERVES PLATFORM. And why force the operating T/O to do both functions, as opposed to being ready to move when indication comes in? {tick tock} |
