Years ago,the bridge over the tracks had a connecting walkway to the Livonia El..It was removed Way before the replacement overpass was built. I remember it,because as I kid,I use to play with friends along the LIRR ROW. The "LL" Livonia Avenue Station also had a easy way of getting on the train platform,without using the fare gates, with the same thing applied to the connecting crosswalk to the Elevated IRT line. ONCE This became well known, the walkway was fenced off then completely removed as if it never existed. The MEZZ that connected to that walkway was destroyed. I know. I saw,And walked along BOTH WALKWAY BRIDGES. TO BOTH STATIONS. |
