(I think you said you worked the F once, while that was mostly 46s, I'm sure a 32 set made its way over there once in awhile)Speaking of usually F = R-46 and E = R-32, I was in NYC for a week in July 1999, stayed out the then-Holiday Inn Crown Plaza by LGA. When I had to go into Manhattan, would take Q23 to either 103 St on the 7, or Continental on the Queens Blvd line. One time I needed the E, as I was walking down the stairs, an R-46 arrived on the s/b Express track. Now, I had been studying nycsubway.org and (I think) reading SubTalk, so I was like, that's an F, so I leisurely strolled down the stairs. As the train slowed, I could see the destination sign saying "E to WORLD TRADE CTR". Oops! I quickened my pace (though I needn't have bothered, we dwelled at CTL for a few minutes (hold lights may have been on) |
