Was the same thing done on the Culver line which was taken over by the IND as an extension of the line which formerly terminated at Church Ave. two years earlier in 1954?Looking at some of the earlier photos from the 1950's during the transition from BMT to IND, the platforms were most likely extended also on the Culver Line, including at Coney Island. The clue in all of that is seeing a different design type of station lamps seen on the outside portions (not under the overhead canopy). -William A. Padron ["B1-317"] |
