IIRC they were outfitted with lighter weight trucks so they could run on the Myrtle So. of B'way. With the 2nd hand trucks they sat higher, allowing the extension plate not to clip the platform when they ran on B division width platforms. I wonder if those extension plates ever clipped any ankles?? |
