That would indeed restore transit access that was lost nearly 50 years ago. So in that sense, I like your idea. But nowadays, the Third Avenue line would have to be a tunnel. The 180th Street complex would have to be substantially modified as well, to accommodate east/west access.If the NYWB viaduct had remained in place, the actual NYWB platforms could have served as a terminal. But that's water under the bridge... |
