It’s too bad we can’t see more of the enamel sign on the column. What you can see of what should be the bottom word doesn’t look like any normal word like “street” or “avenue” which would be the only possibilities for stations on the underground portions of the BMT. It doesn’t even look like any name or number that would be on any station name plate even if the word “street” or “avenue” were omitted which is the case at some stations. |
