After eastbound track D-2 crosses under express tracks D-4 and D-3, split it. The LaGuardia bound track would run under the D-2 track at the Steinway St (34 Ave) station. Have the new platform platform connect with the 36 St bound D-1 platform via a stairway. The track from the airport would share the existing D-1 track from Broadway and its platform. my inspiration was the original Nevins St station setup with its (unused) lower track and platform! |
