As based upon that BOT November 1933 listing specifications guide, the "East Broadway" designation was already placed on the R-4's first batch of new roll signs back then in 1932-1933. The "Houston-Essex" designation was only on the R-1's already. It was recommended that "East Broadway" were to be on both R-1 and R-4 boxes when they would be changed again.-William A.
