That would be a very rare economic situation. In most cases the major metros generate the bulk of state revenues. Years ago in NYS 43% of state revenues were from the 5 boros, but only 28% came back from Albany. I would expect similar figures in PA as in the revenues mostly are generated in metro PHL and PBGH whether sales taxes, income taxes, etc. As always, if you have contrary data to cite, I welcome it. |
