There was no actor, C/R Bob Morrone was always supposed to be in the scene. One oddity was that the C/R was not wearing his hat even though it was required when the uniform jacket was worn. What happened was that during all the rehearsals, he kept his hat in his bag. When it came time to shoot the actual scene his hat was so crushed from being in the bag so long it was unwearable. At that point there was no time to send for a new cap so they let him film the scene hatless. Why they just didn’t let him remove the jacket which would have been OK, I don’t know. |
