NYCT was going to take over the LIRR Lower Montauk line for service to Jamaica Center.Either way businesses did not want the volume coming through Glendale and Ridgewood for various reasons. The little league field where I played on Woodhaven Blvd at the overpass by Home Depot, was very against it. That made sense. I should subscribe to newspapers.com and read to old stories about the plan. |
