Everything you say it true and was disgraceful in and of itself. All those who participated should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
As for what happened down in DC, I was pointing out the difference between that and attacking and the willful destruction of govt. property and disruption of the center of the United States govt. and the desire to shoot any govt official on sight if the opportunity presented itself.
That brings it to a higher level IMO.
