Posted by Transportation Hub on Fri Dec 4 18:32:24 2020 (E) train service was cut between Jamaica-Van Wyck and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer, due to track and line maintenance work under the Jamaica Track Reconstruction Project. (E) trains operated to/from Jamaica-Van Wyck at all times during this closure. Weekday (E) trains also operated to/from 179th Street via the (F) line. Trains ran local in both directions between 71st Ave and 179th Street during Phase I. In Phase II (which was very short), some (E) trains during rush hours ran express between 71st Ave and 179th Street in order to aliviate congestion at Jamaica Center.
