The bonuses/discounts have basically been employed to keep fares rounded to the quarter. (NJT drives me crazy with their non-rounded fares and use of zones even on local buses, but that's another story).If you want to raise the fare but not a full quarter, you go ahead with the full quarter anyway but then offer discounts. Or, as was the case last time, you keep the fare as is but take any existing discounts away. |
