Sunday clothes for me was "going out to a very nice restaurant with relatives" clothes, school clothes were what my brother and I were dragged around from dept. store to dept. store during August for my parents to purchase, play clothes were dungarees (what we called jeans back then), and hand me down shirts from older cousins.- any of which might be worn on the subway depending on the reason my family went "into the city" that day. |
