Intersting note about Playland is that a former TA M/M Peter Horowitz used to have a side business maintaining gaming machines in the Playland amusement park and when the original owner of the park wanted to close it down, Peter managed to scrape up enough money to purchase it. What the actual financial arrangements were I don’t know. A few years later, a developer came along and offered Peter more money than he could ever hope to make in a lifetime so Peter sold. Unfortunately not too long after the sale the developer went belly up and a bit later Peter passed away. |
