SEPTA insists the PCC-II cars will return when the Richmond Ave. rebuild is completed, which it very nearly is, plus the Girard Ave. Bridge project. The uncertainty over this, however, is due to the PCCs being stored outside, and availability of parts.

When the PCCs stopped running at the end of January, there were just four units in service. New low-floor cars are scheduled to replace the PCCs and K cars in a few years, though.
