I don't see why something similar to what BART and MARTA (whose airport stations both see higher usage than Howard Beach) do wouldn't work for JFK. Build one station on property at the most popular terminal or whatever other criteria you would like to use to determine which terminal should get the station, and use the Airtrain to transport passengers going to other terminals. That alone would be an immense improvement over the current situation and would undoubtedly entice more riders to take public transportation to the airport. |
