It would require the expense of designing a new car that is capable of operating via both cat and 3rd rail, the risk of operating that new unproven design, re-negotiating labor agreements of 2 separate railroads, and improving the reliability of each railroad (and Amtrak who dispatches the NEC) while still having the risk of delays on one railroad causing delays on the other. Is there anything else that you'd like me to include?You on the other hand show that you have literally never attempted to make the transfer at rush hour on a regular basis by falsely claiming that there is no problem. |
