Thank you for the info., dates & car #'s, of IND cars tested on the Sea Beach - again, it's nice to have this info. in one place.There must have been articles (and hopefully photos), in the NY Times, Daily News about "the city cars" as they were called, in trial service on the B.M.T. Must have been nice to railfan the new R1s back then if they operated on the express stretches between Pacific & 36th St., and between Times Sq. & 14th St. & between 14th St. & Canal in Manhattan. |
