Keep up your Silver Line posts. It seems that actually constructing the line is so much faster than getting the permitting and funding.

Actually it was the opposite. Permitting and funding happened between 1992 and 2004. Preliminary construction (utility relocation) began in 2007 with actual construction on phase I beginning in late 2008 and opening of phase 1 in 2014. Phase II construction began in late 2013 with a projected opening around late second quarter or early third quarter 2021.
