I was on a R1-9 E train going to the old Madison Sq Garden on 50th & 8 from Queens & that train did fly thru the 53d St Tunnel. We hit a stretch of poor quality track & the whole front end of my car was swaying left & right so hard it felt like it was banging the sides of the tunnel. My first thought was this could be a re-enactment of the opening scene from the "Fugitive" TV series! |
