I remember riding up to the 57th St. station IIRC several days or so after it opened, and took maybe two or three b&W photos. I'd also made sure to ride the Canarsie line & Myrtle Chambers to get shots of the Standards that spring.I graduated HS that May, and left for a trip to Paris on July 15th (took one roll of 24 or 36 slide film of the Metro during that August - got the Sprague cars on the open lines and a shot or two underground). |
