If I remember correctly the junction north of 50/6 was part of the original IND construction. I'm not sure how far the tracks actually went but I will say it's rather interesting that the distance from 53 St to mid-block between 55/56 (the southern end of the 57 St platform) is around 670 feet which is a nice length for a layup. T1/T2 may mark the start of brand new construction. Your right. The stub end trackways were provided for in the original construction. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
