But the car with the #8 roll sign is not 5290 itself but a W/F in the 5600 series. What I have mentioned before in some posts on this topic is that since the R-12s and even the 14s had #8 signs for possible use on the Astoria Line, I don’t understand why the word “Astoria” under the number 8 wasn’t simply painted out so that the number could be displayed properly instead of the word “Shuttle." |
