Subway ridership using Stephen's stats has been rising at a little under 10% per week since the low point. This week's post shows a 10.1% increase over the prior week.A few factors keeping subway ridership from increasing at a faster pace include: 1. Perception that the subway is unhealthy. 2. Public buses are free. 3. "Essential Schedule" makes subway travel slower and more unwieldy than usual 4. Traffic levels being below normal make using a car (if you have a car) both more convenient time/hassle-wise and healthier from a C-19 standpoint. |
