Why did the retaining walls change south of Church Avenue on the Brighton?Built at different times. Line was originally in open cut from south of Eastern Parkway (current Franklin Shuttle) to south of Church Ave. Grade separation and widening south of Church Ave happened first (around 1910?). Widening of cut from Prospect Park to south of Church Ave. was 1918-20. |
