This is a different type of equipment but still the same wheel/rail/electric motor setup.The Commonwealth Avenue hill just east of Cleveland Circle on the B line is quite steep, it's a slog to even walk on. Its outdoors, so the LRVs are required to climb it in all weather. Sorry I don't know the grade %, but it's easily over 6%. |
