There was also a track connection between the New Haven RRand the 3rd Avenue El in the Bronx near 133 St. The New Haven had a fleet of smaller coaches and Forney steam locomotives which were of a size compatible with the Manhattan elevated lines. It is possible that the NHRR ran specials down to City Hall or South Ferry via the 3rd or 2nd Ave el during the steam days. |
