The first place the R-27/30s were used was the Brighton Lcl (QB/QT), 4 Av Lcl (RR) and a few on the Sea Beach (N). As the R-32s arrived, they went to the West End Sea Beach and Brighton Exp freeing up the R-27/30s for exclusive use on the Brighton and 4 Av lcls where they remained for a good portion of their service life. Post Chrystie caused a bit of equipment shifting but the 4 Av and Brighton Lines along with the Eastern Div lines that ran down the Brighton remained their home for quite a bit of time. |
