I was 5 when the R-32s went into service. However, I didn't really notice the different typs of equipment on the subway until I was 8, maybe 9. So in effect, the R-32s have been around as long as I can remember (I referred to them as "Silver Blue" (due to the blue doors they originally sported) before I knew the contract numbers). It will be a sad day when they really are gone for good. At least there is the one pair (3352/3) in the TM fleet.
