Not having overhead luggage racks in the coach cars must make it a bit clumsy any items taken aboard

We were given information on the luggage transfer by our travel agent. A small zippered bag (size range was listed but I don't remember it) was suggested for personal items to take aboard the train. We took one for both of us and I considered the camera bag my "carry on". All aspects of the transfers (we had 3) went smooth as silk.
