Even if the suspected arsonist set "distraction" fires at 86 and 96 Streets, those fires would have been handled by other companies, while the 110 St. fire would have been assigned to a different company. All working fires in the transit system are second alarm upon arrival, so the "distraction" strategy, if that's what the smaller fires were, wouldn't have worked anyway. |
