Posted by IRTRedbirdR33 on Thu Feb 20 06:08:30 2020 Tuscarora Almanac – February 20, 1890 – The Book of First Runs The Bronx, New York New York and New England Railway The ferryboat MARYLAND (II) begins service along the East River between 138th Street in The Bronx and the Pennsylvania Railroad terminal at Exchange Place in Jersey City. What we known today as the Northeast Corridor Line was not complete in those days. Passengers travelling between Boston and Philadelphia have to utilize a steamboat between The Bronx and Jersey City.
