There is a photo of #678 on the TRAIN ORDERS website with a red banner attached to the handrail proclaiming "Reading 2719 is returning home". It may be on the way but if not it should be moving soon. The paint looks pretty good so odds are we ain't doing it anytime soon. Same for the CSX GP39-2 that arrived in October 2019. First quality repaint is going to be the Official Car. I'm estimating to do the 15 right will be about 40K in materials alone: And we have a building going up this year. Reading Tech is going to be spending a lot of cash in 2020! Sarge & I are going to have a Reading Railroad Heritage Museum table at the Clark NJ show in March. We're going to be showing photos of the progress we have made with the equipment side of the collection. If the switcher makes it in time I'll shoot it for display. |
