It was the great Republican Cuomo Sr who closed all of NY's mental institutions.That said it's not the Federal Government's job to intervene on State level matters, whether it be quality of life issues in coastal cities or whether or not one can buy weed or heroin at the local CVS. It's why I get annoyed when people blame Pelosi for SF being a shithole... Pelosi's role is to represent SF's wishes in matters of national significance, not petty local issues like poop and homeless problems. |
