It's been argued that CPW's needs were weighed as much as or more than Brighton's. That Brighton got more service was more an accidental. For example, if the B did not continue north past Columbus Circle, the added runs would probably not have happened to begin with.I've been on some of the "bonus" runs in question Brooklyn bound. Definitely along 6 Ave the trains were useful though not SRO. And I would say they weren't really "empty" until the Kings Hwy area of the Brighton. Don't know what it was like northbound along CPW, which as I've said was probably the area of focus. |
