In the case of electric subway cars it could be severing a major pneumatic or electric line.As even cars set for scrapping get moved around a bit, and may do a few weeks or months on garbage detail, I'd imagine that if this is done, it would be just before they get taken away by flatbed, like the R44s and a few R27/30s were. |
