Bombardier's rail equipment division includes former pieces ofotherEuropean conglomerates. IIRC correctly, theytook over the rail part of ASEA Brown Boveri,andpossibly a Daimler division as well. For that matter Alstom has been throughmultiple corporate shuffles itself. The wikipedia article is entertainingreading.
