Towers built like the Empire State Building is built wouldn't have collapsed at all, ever. There would obviously have been massive damage.

And recall I was comparing to the Manhattan Bridge. There is no evidence to indicate that the Manhattan Bridge would collapse if a tower were hit by the biggest plane in existence.
