When the entire service was M-1's, all West Hempstead trains were 4 cars, except for the 8 car NY train in the morning, and a 6 car Brooklyn train in the PM.When they got the M-3's, the only 4 car train left was an afternoon round trip to Hempstead, which became the 6:09 from Brooklyn to West Hempstead. It deadheads back after that run. With the M-7's, it was the end of 4 car trains. |
