Westinghouse-Amrail was a joint venture of Westinghouse with French manufacturers ANF Industrie (later acquired by Bombardier in 1989), and Jeumont Schneider, which sold its railcar division mid-contract to Alsthom (now Alstom) a successor to the French operations of GE-owned Thomson-Houston Electric. So, the lineage of the R68 leads to Bombardier and Alstom. |
