I'd be interested to know what you come up with. And thanks by the way as I never knew about the Ave Y staircase. Can you tell if it reached the street near the corner or was it will a bit of a walk to reach Ave Y? I can't tell based on today's Google street-view, helpful as that is.But yeah, my suspicion is that everyone realized that with tracks going everywhere on that side of Shell Road and within that block, there wasn't going to be anything in the near future that would sprout up and justify keeping a passenger staircase there. That, and the more space available for the new construction, the better I suppose. |
