It always had a station in the center of the town (since before 1900). However there is an industrial area near exit 24 on I-95 (Black Rock Turnpike) on the eastern edge of Fairfield which had no convenient railroad station and that is where the Fairfield Metro station is (between the existing Fairfield station and Bridgeport). |
