The Eighth Avenue Streetcar Line is converted to bus operation. This route began service as the Eighth Avenue Horse Car Line in 1855. The last operator of streetcars was New York Railways. Bus service will be run by the Eighth Avenue Coach Corporation as the M-10.

Tuscarora Almanac – November 12, 1957 – The Book of Last Runs

Camden, New Jersey
Pennsylvania Railroad

The last steam run on the Pennsylvania Railroad was made on November 12, 1957 by Class K 5351 hauling a passenger train from Pemberton to Camden, New Jersey.
The Class K engines had a 4-6-2 wheel arrangement and were built by the Altoona Shops between 1914 and 1928.

Rockaway Park, Queens, New York
Seastreak, Inc.
Seastreak Inc. begins operation of the Rockaway Ferry. The service will run between Pier 11 on the East River and Beach 108th Street in the Rockaways and will include a stop at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.
(N.B. This service is currently operated by the NYC Ferry)
