I’m sure he knows the difference between a signal on GT and one that is red or yellow due to a train ahead. At one time there were a few locations such as the Manny B and Willy B that had timers with no special aspect to indicate whether they were on time or not. Otherwise GT signals are designated by an illuminated “S” below a yellow signal or a lunar white below a red. if neither the “S or lunar white are illuminated that means that there is a train ahead.
